All praise is for Allah, who has taught us what we did not know. Through the grace and the help of the Almighty, we are currently in process of successfully completing our sixth school-year of operation.

 

We have recently in September 2009 expanded Afzal Islamic Montessori & Academy and opened up a new campus in Downtown Toronto. Thanks to Afzal Academy we finally have an Islamic Community School in Downtown Toronto catering towards Muslims residing in the core of downtown.

 

Our current facility in Scarborough is equipped with 9 classrooms, a boardroom, and 13 washrooms. There is also small indoor gym and an outdoor fenced play-area for safe playing. We also have a Musalla with a separate area designated for sisters. This area of the school has a separate entrance and is open to the community for daily prayers including Juma, Taraweeh and five times Salaah.

 

I, as the principal of Afzal Academy on behalf of the school thank all of you – staff members, students, parents Islamic Montessori & and the community at large – for becoming the pillar of support for the establishment and success of your school. Masha-Allah I have by the grace of Allah (SWT) seen the fruits of this school.
